Seedance 2 Fast

What it does

Seedance 2.0 Fast is a video generation model from Volcengine that you run on Pipe2 through the Video Generator pipeline. It takes a text prompt and produces a video clip, and it also accepts a still image as the basis for an image-to-video run. Inside the pipeline you choose the clip length, from 4 up to 15 seconds, and the frame shape, from 16:9 and 9:16 through 1:1, 4:3, 3:4 and 21:9. Its own description positions it as a quick 720p draft path.

When to use it

• You are iterating on a Video Generator prompt and want to see the shot before committing to a more expensive model for the final render.
• You need a cinematic shot, product reveal or lifestyle ad concept roughed out from a text description alone.
• You have a still image (a product photo, a character frame) and want it turned into motion with the pipeline's image-to-video path.
• You are testing several aspect ratios for the same idea, for example a 9:16 vertical cut and a 21:9 wide cut, and want both cheaply.
• You are trying multiple durations of the same prompt to find the length that reads best.

What to know before you run it

This is the cheapest video path on Pipe2, and the trade-off is in the name: it is meant for drafts, not finals. Its priced units are metered at 720p and quoted per clip length, with separate units for a roughly 5-second and a roughly 11-second 720p clip, so check the live price table on this page before you stretch a run. The Video Generator pipeline exposes 480p, 720p, 1080p and 4K; treat 720p as this model's home tier and check that same table before pushing resolution up. No reference image is required (text alone is enough), but supplying one switches you to the image-to-video path.
